John holds degrees in Architectural Technology from PCC and Construction Management from East Carolina University. Following his education, he embarked on a successful 15-year career with a prominent regional construction company, where he advanced from a field engineer to a key member of the executive management team. During his tenure, he managed the construction of over one million square feet of healthcare facilities, which amounted to more than $300 million in value. This impressive portfolio includes the development of hundreds of patient rooms, over 20 operating rooms, more than 30 laboratories, and various kitchens and cafeterias. Beyond healthcare, John has also overseen several prestigious projects, such as the Greensboro Coliseum Renovation and the Greenville Convention Center.
